The important part: Once your pet has their chip or tag, you need to register its unique number with an online database. The registry acts as the secure middleman, holding the link between your pet's ID number and your phone number.
Remember to keep things updated! If you move or change your phone number, don't forget to update your details in the database so you can always be reached.
